A good 18th-Century silvered and lacquered-brass universal equinoctial compass sundial,
signed BLEULER 27Ludgate Street London, the silvered chapter ring with hours IIII-XII, I-VIII, folding gnomon and decoratively engraved frets within the circle, arranged to read off the folding latitude arm with degree scale, over the brass body of the instrument, the inset glazed silvered compass with blued-steel needle and circumference degree scale, in a shaped silk and plush-lined fishskin-covered wooden case with three brass hooks and eyes -- 11.5cm. (4½in.) wide
