A French brass, silvered and onyx novelty compendium timepiece, circa 1885
Modelled with manually revolving celestial and terrestrial globes, surmounted by a compass above aneroid barometer and centred by a thermometer, the tapering base inset with a dial with Roman chapter ring, on white onyx plinth, the eight day single barrel movement with vertically positioned cylinder escapement -- 15¼ in. (38.5 cm.) high
