The stepped top case with blind fret spandrels around the dial, glazed front door, above panelled plinth, with 12¾ in. (32.5 cm.) diameter dial, the bezel cast with an arcaded design, Roman and Arabic chapter ring with recessed seconds disc, signed in Cyrillic IAKOV LAVROV/MOSCOW, pierced steel hands and sweep seconds, the eight day movement with plates joined by four plain pillars, dead beat escapement and rack strike on gong positioned to the backboard -- 84¼ in.
