The upper case with detachable architectural top, the lower case (possibly associated) with female mask and scroll mounts, the white painted Roman dial with raised centre, painted with a church scene and with columns, with automaton figures above, comprising four military musicians moving their arms/instruments flanking a Green Man figure with birds and moving head, all figures also turning when the music plays, the eight day movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike on gong, with music on 42 wood flute pipes via a bellows operated by 16½ in. (42 cm.) long pinned cylinder, playing a selection of eight tunes on the hour -- 94¾ in. (241 cm.) high; pendulum, five weights, two crank keys
