A Regency mahogany, part-ebonised and brass-mounted striking table clock, circa 1820
The case with pineapple finial to chamfer top, cornucopia and loop handles to the sides above fishscale sound frets, with ripple moulding above the base and raised on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman dial signed Thos. Richards/LONDON, blued steel crescent moon hands, the dial plate rear signed W. Finnemore/& Son, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with shouldered plates joined by five pillars, anchor escapement and strike/trip repeat on bell, with holdfast to the back plate -- 19¾ in.
