The case with brass handle to inverted bell top, silk-backed pierced frets to each side, the brass dial with Indian mask and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, matted centre with silvered plaque signed Edw. Faulkner/LONDON above mock pendulum and date apertures, blued steel hands, with strike/silent ring to the arch above, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with five pillars, knife-edge verge escapement, strike on bell and pull wind quarter repeat on six bells, the back plate profusely engraved with foliate scrolls and fruiting baskets -- 17¼ in.
