of slender oviform shape, with a waisted neck emphasised with a raised band and a flared and lipped rim, decorated with an armour clad nobleman and musicians, pleading to a lady and attendants standing on clouds, possibly depicting the messenger dispatched by Empress Wu to summon the Immortal He Xiangu to the palace, copper-red six-character Qianlong mark within a square -- 17 13/16in. (45.2cm.) high
