A cloisonne bowl, 16th/17th century
with slightly rounded steep sides rising to a flat rim, the interior decorated with a dignitary and boys standing near a crane amidst a pine tree, lingzhi fungus, plantain and flowers, beneath a cloudy sky with a crane in flight below the sun enclosing the ri character ('sun'), with floral and lingzhi scrolls around the rim -- 12 3/8in. (31.4cm.) diam.
