An Ivory model of Avalokiteshvara, early 20th Century
the standing figure is manifested with three heads and eight arms, the forearms carved in anjalimudra, the others each holding a Buddhist attribute including a lotus spray, bow and arrow and celestial scarf, wearing an ornate headdress and long pendant beaded jewellery, on a double lotus base - 12in. (30.5cm) high, silver inlaid woodstand.
