A Sino-Tibetan gilt-bronze figure of Tara, 18th century
cast seated on a lotus base in 'Royal Ease' with her right leg pendent, the hands in varada and vitarkmudra, wearing a garment finely incised at the borders and a sash billowing around the arms, adorned with beaded jewellery, the face with benign expression crowned with a tiara, the interior with fabric-wrapped items, possibly sutras -- 7¼in. (18.3cm.) high
