MARK OF EDOUARD GAVEY, JERSEY, CIRCA 1775,
Of plain, tapering form on skirted foot, the leaf-capped spout with shell & bead decoration at base, the handle with shell junctions, engraved with large contemporary monogram "MM", base inscribed "Mary Mauger", other side with a 19th Century crest & monogram "I.H.R.", 9½ in. high (24 cm.), 34 oz.
