AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY CHANNEL ISLANDS SILVER PORRINGER,
MARKS OF ROBERT BARBEDOR, JERSEY & GUERNSEY, CIRCA 1700,
Bearing the St.Malo town mark, maker's mark & crown punch, the porringer of typically English form, gadroon girdle, fluting to lower body, punched with bead quatrefoils & tiny flower head motifs, the front chased with a scroll-edged cartouche initialled "R:I", 3¾ in. high (9.5 cm.), 7 oz.
