The finely detailed scale model with compression cylinder present but detached, inscribed to one side with "SHAND MASON & Co. LONDON", the other side inscribed "Presented to Capt. Gardner by the Stroud Volunteer, the Stroud Local Board and the Minchinhampton & Chaeford Fire Brigades upon his retirement after 25 years Active Service, July 1893", 6¾ in. long (17.3 cm.), 6 in. high (15 cm.)
