MARK OF WILLIAM COMYNS, LONDON, 1911,
Rectangular with canted corners, the handles & borders decorated with bales & cricket balls, engraved with a trophy of stumps, cricket ball & crossed cricket bats inscribed "1862" & "1912", and with presentation inscription, "Presented to Mr. William Freemantle at a banquet given in his honour by his old colleagues and friends as a token of their esteem, 2nd. May, 1912, Wharncliffe Rooms, 50 not out, F.A. Dinham Esq. Chairman", also profusely inscribed with facsimile signatures, 25¼ in. long (64.3 cm.), 123 oz.
