A MATCHED PAIR OF GEORGE II/III SILVER TONTINE SALVERS,
ONE WITH MARK OF DENNIS LANGTON, LONDON, 1737, THE OTHER WITH MARK OF RICHARD SIBLEY (I), LONDON, 1817,
Shaped circular with pie-crust border, on 4 scroll feet, crested to centre, inscribed over the bases of both salvers with a tontine of 15 names, commencing with J.Stephenson who died, aged 76, on 7th. April, 1761, including Vice-Admiral Cuthbert, Lord Collingwood, died 6th. March, 1810, aged 61 and terminating with Ralph Bates Esquire, who died on 6th. June, 1813, aged 48, 8 in. diameter (20.4 cm.), 28 oz. (2)
