the former with maker's mark of A. de Groot-Boersma, Sneek, 1898, the latter with maker's mark of J.M. van Kempen en Zn., Voorschoten, 1886

The marriage casket of typical form, the body and cover chased with scrolling foliage, baskets of flowers, and figures holding cornucopia, with cast cherub thumb-piece and turned swing-handle, the decanter with spiral-gadrooned glass body, the neck-mount, handle and hinged cover plain and applied with a ball finial - the former 7.4cm long (191gr) (2)
