A SILVER BRANDY BOWL AND AN OVAL BASIN
the former with maker's mark of Hendrik W. van Giffen, Groningen, circa 1790; the latter with maker's mark of Gerardus Peeters, Rotterdam, 1807

The former raised on oval lobed base, with similar shaped body, the body engraved on one side with a ribbon-tied circular panel centred with initials, and with S-scroll handles to each end, the latter on oval base decorated with a beaded band, the plain body pierced to the upper rim with a band of scrollwork below a beaded band - the brandy bowl 24cm long (417gr) (2)
