The three-tier box with drop-down side handle and plaque to the front inscribed in Cyrillic MOSCOW/CHRONOMETER/8916-70, brass gimbal and bowl, the painted dial with Arabic chapters, 56-hour up-down ring, signed, numbered in red to the centre of the seconds ring 04252, gold main hands and blued steel subsidiary hands, the movement with gilt plates and with damascened stripes to the top plate, chain fusee with Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance with steel helical spring, maintaining power; tipsy key, guard box
