TAITTINGER
The Comtes de Champagne Cuvée is made in exceptional years from 100 Chardonnay grapes and from the Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs and takes juice from the very first and very light pressing only. This method brings great finesse to the wine and a small percentage is aged in oak barrels to achieve balance. The Rosé includes up to 70 Pinot Noir.
Taittinger Collection is produced in exceptional vintages and in each instant an artist is chosen to create a special piece of artwork that is produced as a sheaf that covers the bottle as well as capsule in the same vein.
Artists: Vintages:
Victor Vasarely 1978
Arman 1981
André Masson 1982

Roy Lichtenstein 1985
Hans Hartung 1986

Taittinger, Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs--Vintage 1982
Reims
"Comtes on top form! Overwhelming, rich, romantic, and euphoric Champagne. Bubbling mousse with that unique pearl-necklace formation. The generous buttery nose includes tons of exotic ripe fruit, red apples, coconut, and a nutty complexity. The sweetness is tangible in the juicy taste. Creamy, fat, full bodied, buttery, and wonderfully long. The wine melts in the mouth like ice cream and runs down the throat like nectar." Richard Juhlin, Mar 2003
