"The 1986 L'Eglise-Clinet remains a young, densely-colored wine with gobs of fruit and intensity. I have always preferred it to such other vintages as 1982, 1983, and 1989. The full-bodied 1986 exhibits excellent concentration and an over-ripe component. It can be drunk now or cellared for another 20-30 years." Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book, 3rd Edition (1998)
