Claude Picasso has confirmed the authenticity of this drawing.

Picasso was a close friend of Juan Larrea, a Spanish intellectual living in Paris in the 1930s. The artist made this intimate and whimsical juguete de papel (toy of paper) for Larrea's small children, Luciana and Juan Jaime.
