Each mask cast with pointed snout above a down-curved tab to hold the separate faceted ring and flanked by bared teeth and fangs, with bulging eyes, curled horns centered by a foliate motif and a pair of pointed ears, each with two apertures for attachment; together with a gilt-bronze support hollow cast as a hoof issuing from a taotie mask, Han dynasty, with a tab projecting from the back for attachment
Masks and rings 7½ in. (19 cm.) long overall; support 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high, one stand (3)
