Two pear-shaped vases and a baluster vase, from a garniture of five vases, and of similar size, are illustrated by A. du Boulay, Christie's Pictorial History of Chinese Ceramics, New Jersey, 1984, p. 229, no. 18. Another pear-shaped vase with comparable decoration from the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Worch, New York, was illustrated in the exhibition catalogue, Chinese Ceramics from Prehistoric Period through Ch'ien Lung, Los Angeles County Museum, 14 March - 27 April 1952, p. 109, no. 325, and later sold in these rooms, 23 March 1995, lot 364.
