YONGZHENG FOUR-CHARACTER INCISED SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
Heavily potted with shallow rounded sides rising to a flat everted rim, covered allover with a finely mottled glaze of yellowish-olive tone thinning to tortoiseshell on the edges of the rim, the base similarly glazed over the nianhao, the foot covered in a russet brown dressing

Lot Essay
This piece was most likely originally the stand for a jardinière. A similar stand and its accompanying jardinière were sold in these rooms, 20 May 2001, lot 274.
