CANTON, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
The kings and queens with piereced fleur-de-lis ball knopped crowns, surmounted by cross and spray finials respectively, the bishops with carved mitres and cross finials, knights as horses' heads, the rooks as turrets with flags
The king -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) high; the pawn -- 1¾in. (4.5cm.) high
