The undersides stamped MAGDAI ANDRZEJ NOWAKOWSCY WARS7AWA, the board with hardstone cabochons and brass and copper fish applied to the border
The king -- 4in. (10.2cm.) high; the pawn -- 3in. 7.2cm.) high; the board -- 18½in. (47cm.) wide
Together with an Austrian painted tin alloy two-dimensional figural set, depicting royalty and guards -- 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high; the pawn -- 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) high; and a Polish brass and silvered metal abstract figural set, 20th century, the bishops and pawns with Viking style helmets (3)
