With Siddhartha and Yashodhara seated on the edge of the bed with musicians to the left, female attendants behind and above on a balcony flanked by arches with birds, with some figures and animals below, all capped by a frieze of putti carrying an undulating garland bearing fruit

This relief offers a glimpse of the Buddha as Prince Siddhartha, enjoying the comforts of marriage and the palace, before renouncing his title and leaving to achieve enlightenment.
