A pair of silver and gold damascened iron stirrups
Tibet, 15th/17th century
With a rectangular foot-rest cast with a cash medallion flanked by ruyi heads, the sides with the flaming pearl motifs and cloud-like forms, the arching strap covered with separatly cast elements finely worked with dragon forms, the strap loop with lion-faced cartouches on either side
