The case centred by a cherub holding a mandolin and a scroll, flanked by candle-holders, the hinged lid decorated with dancing figures and musical trophies, the underside inscribed Amédée Thibout & Cie Paris, on cabriole legs each headed by an espagnolette, the backboard centred by a foliate mount, the panelled sides with scroll handles, on a shaped base and castors, the carcass signed and numbered
47½ in. (121 cm.) high; 57 in. (145 cm.) wide; 25 in. (63.5 cm.) deep
