Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1947
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Bottled by Chalié Richards. Bin-soiled and damaged labels. Lot 747 level upper-shoulder. Lot 748 level mid/upper-shoulder
Tasting Note: Belgian bottled: two in 1977 labelled 'J van der Meulen-Decannière' both rich, very flavoury but with marked acidity. The other more recently, I think just labelled 'Vandermeurlen', at de Cock's tasting in Paris: intensely deep; sound bouquet, lots of fruit on nose and palate, rich with an attenuated slightly acidic finish. Last tasted Dec 1995 **** M.B.
