Edo-Meiji period (late 18th-late 19th century), the first signed Ran'ichi; the third signed Mitsugyoku
The first, a rabbit nibbling on a branch of persimmons, eyes inlaid in horn; the second, a long-tailed goldfish, eyes inlaid in dark horn; the third, a box netsuke carved with flowering peonies on the exterior, opening to reveal a sleeping woman dreaming of a meeting with a gentleman
