Edo period (late 18th century), signed Miwa and with kao
Modeled as Raijin, the god of thunder, frowning as he sits hunched on one knee grasping a gust of wind as it emerges from his bag and swirls around and beneath him, his large 'thunder' drum strapped to his back; eyes inlaid in ivory and dark horn
