Edo period (19th century)
The first carved as Chokaro's horse emerging from a gourd; the second of the same subject, utilizing the natural branch-shape of the antler, the horse emerging from an opening in the lower lobe of the gourd below a coil of rope, mouth of the vessel plugged with an ebony cap secured with a metal pin
