In the Baroque style, after a silver example, the heavy body of oblong form, painted with an elaborate crowned ermine-clad 'Spanish' coat-of-arms flanked by two lion supporters, within a frame of ammonite scrolls, the heavy border with foliage, the rims with gadroons in slight relief

Lot Essay

The present coat-of-arms related to the Spanish royal coat-of-arms, depicting a variation of the usual two crenelated towers of Castile with added crossed arrows facing right, further with the usual two lion passants of Leon. The centre with an added small shield enclosing an animal.
