Lot Essay

When "In A Mirror Darkly" was being planned in the middle of Star Trek: Enterprise's fourth season, tentative plans were in place for an episode to feature Colonel Green, the villainous character from "The Savage Curtain" in Star Trek: The Original Series who was said to be responsible for wartime atrocities during Earth's 21st century. Coincidentally, the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation featured John DeLancie as Q, wearing 21st century military body armor. One of the flags in this collection reproduces an emblem on Q's costume. It was hoped that the emblem on the flag would also be used in the planned Colonel Green episode, thus tying Q's uniform into the character from "The Savage Curtain."
