The United Earth Diplomatic Corps patches incorporate the United Earth seal, first seen on the podium in San Francisco in "Home" in Star Trek: Enterprise. The seal features an olive branch, deliberately reminescent of the olive branches in the United Federation of Planets logo. The United Earth seal was also seen in the Earth embassy in "The Forge" in Star Trek: Enterprise and later in the same episode on flag-draped coffins. The Earth Cargo Ship logos for "Fortunate Son" and "Horizon" in Star Trek: Enterprise were designed by Geoffrey Mandel and Anthony Fredrickson. Alan Kobayashi designed the alien emblem from "The Communicator" in Star Trek: Enterprise, and Mike Okuda was responsible for the emblems for Columbia and the United Earth Diplomatic Corps.
