Actor Robert Picardo is a real-life advocate for the exploration of space. He is an advisor to The Planetary Society, an organization founded by Carl Sagan. Mr. Picardo serves on that group's Advisory Council along with Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke, and astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
