Lot Essay

Miles O'Brien, played by Colm Meany, appeared in the very first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, where he played the Battle Bridge Conn. O'Brien appeared in numerous episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation but did not get a first name until "Family," during the third season. Miles Edward O'Brien married Keiko Ishikawa in "Data's Day" in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and the couple had a daughter, Molly. Chief O'Brien and his family transferred to Deep Space Nine in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine pilot episode, "Emissary."
