Although Ferengi makeup has pretty much remained the same in all their appearances on the various Star Trek series, their wardrobe most certainly has not. This early Ferengi costume, from the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation , was almost comical, in keeping with the tone of the characters themselves. By the end of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the Ferengi were still funny, but with much darker undertones and a far more flamboyant wardrobe.
