Lot Essay

The Cetacean Institute symbol looks a whole lot like the logo of the real-life Monterey Bay Aquarium, which served as the film location for the Cetacean Institute scenes in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. The name of the facility had to be changed for the film because the storyline required it to be moved closer to San Francisco.
