This necklace resembles Spock's Kohlinahr medallion from the same scene. It was later worn by Sierra Pecheur playing Ambassador T'Pel in "Data's Day" in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Of course T'Pel was actually a covert Romulant agent. Maybe she stole it from Edna Glover's character?
