Lot Essay

Mr. Spock was part of Gene Roddenberry's original concept for Star Trek, which he wrote in 1964. At the time, he had little idea of Spock's background, except that he was from an alien planet. As Star Trek developed, Leonard Nimoy's character grew into one of the most recognizable symbols of Roddenberry's universe.
