Although most of Star Trek's adventures took place on "Class-M" planets with no spacesuits needed, one episode, "The Tholian Web" from Star Trek: The Original Series, did require them. Despite Star Trek's perennial budget constraints, William Ware Theiss designed this distinctive - and ingenious - environment suit.
