Inlaid overall with flower-filled trellis parquetry, the rectangular superstructure with three-quarter pierced gallery over a pair of doors and a pair of short drawers, the right drawer fitted for ink, sand and writing implements, the lower section with a hinged top revealing a leather-lined writing surface and a mahogany-lined interior with a pair of sliding compartments, on paterae-headed tapering legs joined by a rectangular galleried undertier, with square sabots, stamped to the right side beneath case
