LATE 18TH CENTURY, STAMPED 'R LACROIX' AND 'JME'
The rectangular banded top inlaid with a floral spray above a panelled freize with a drawer enclosing a leather-lined writing slide, fitments for writing implements and a drawer compartment, with oval paterae at the angles, on tapering square legs headed by bow knots, joined by a shaped undertier inlaid with a further floral spray, the legs ending in ormolu sabots, possibly originally with grilles to the sides
