EACH STAMPED 'NDLP.S' and 'P.F.JEAN', LATE 18TH CENTURY
Each with arched toprail with paterae finials on each side, open padded armrests with scrolled handgrip, padded back and seat, serpentine seatrail, on paterae-headed turned tapering stop-fluted legs, both stamped 'NDLP.S' and 'P.F.*EAN' on the bottom front of seat frame (2)

Lot Essay

The stamp of NDLPS refers to Nicolas Delaporte, a sculptor and member of the long, illustrious line of 18th century menuisiers of the Delaporte family. It has also been associated with the menuisier Martin Jullien.
