PROBABLY AUDENARDE, SECOND HALF 16TH CENTURY, SIGNED 'FQ'
Woven in silks and wools, depicting a bull-hunt to the center, set within a wooded landscape with a stag to the right front and with a stream to the left with a couple by a building, within a ribbon-twist inner and outer border, the main border with allegorical figures to the angles and the top and bottom center, with fruiting foliage in strapwork trellis, within a blue outer guard border, replaced to the left half of the tapestry, limited re-weaving, weaver's initials to the lower right
