Lot Essay

A rare print of Lawrence by one of the artists most closely associated with him. Kennington painted Lawrence and illustrated several of his books, including Seven Pillars of Wisdom (for which see lot 118), where he is credited by Lawrence as the 'art-editor', and The Diary of T.E. Lawrence MCMXI (for which see lot 113).
