British Antarctic Expedition, 1907-1909. A late 19th- early 20th-century brass, steel and ivory drawing set, by A. Cornaghi & Co., Sydney, with dividers, compasses, pens and other components, with a short bone rule by Spear, College Green, Dublin, contained in a velvet- and silk-lined mahogany case signed 'A. Cornaghi & Co. Sydney', upper cover with brass plate with incised name 'H.S.W. Crummer Sydney N.S.W.', base inscribed in ink 'H.S.W. Crummer Sydney New South Wales' (some minor wear and crude repairs) -- 228mm wide
with Marshall's parallel rolling rule by W.H. Harling, London, marked S.G.O. 602 and arrow, in fitted wooden case, and a framed map ('Route and Surveys of the Southern Journey Party 1908-09 From Traverses and Astronomical Observations by Eric Marshall, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P.
