ROALD ENGELBREGT GRAVNING AMUNDSEN (1872-1928)
BIBLE, Det nye Testamente og Salmernes Bog. Kristiania: Norske Bibelselskaps, 1921. 16° (127 x 88mm). (Some staining along upper and lower edges, some short tears.) Original black grained cloth, titled in gilt on spine (extremities rubbed, lower joint cracked, hinges split). Provenance: Roald Amundsen (inscribed in Norwegian 'Roald took this on all his expeditions' on title, possibly in Malfred Amundsen's hand), and thence by descent to the present owner.
